I don't know how you feel about the Mr. Syrup stories, but I am very fond of them, and this is one of the nicest. Wee Brigit is only just old enough to be included in the party at Mr. Syrup's farm, and the sleigh ride out there, the candy pull and the other excitements (particularly the presentation of the surprise) are high spots in her small life.
