HOW TO MAKE SOMETHING FROM NOTHING

We remember emerging from our last ""delightful bit of creativity"" after reading a book like this converting shower caps into toaster covers but Mrs. Egge has more durable objectives: chiefly candlesticks, candelabra, lamps, wall sconces and compotes out of wood (even a perch from a bird cage will serve as a dowel) or metal. What to look for and where, establishing an atelier with the right tools, refinishing, etc. and although she's gung ho on lighting fixtures, there are a few other accessories. All these waste-not-want-not whatnots are illustrated with photographs, and there's probably a sedulous magpie in every community.
