KIRKUS REVIEW

The house on Cypress Road is a dead ringer for Gretchen Travis' 2 Spruce Lane, with its rapid turnover of tenants leaving that one unseen presence behind. Ned and Laura fall in love with the place outside before being frightened to near death inside; their dog barks and then turns up a drug-overdosed body; a cypress wreath is hung on the door; there's a strange neighbor while someone/no one called Vanessa emanates in and out of Laura's distraught mind in feverish prose--""like fiery fluid, that pain that tried to tear her body asunder."" Subparanormal stush.
