KIRKUS REVIEW

A light love story developed around idealized loyalties and conventions. The story of orphaned eighteen year old Colleen Vail who is rescued by a wealthy woman and taken to Europe. The girl's problem rests upon the question whether to marry a childhood sweetheart and live up to her mother's hopes for her; or to marry a foreigner because she loves him. Illogical and unsound -- but not as saccharine as many in its class. Romance for women not over-critical of what they read.
