KIRKUS REVIEW

Bill Bailey of the Bar-L ranch is a wary hunter. In spite of his youth he always makes his kill, whether it be grizzly, wolf, cougar or cattle rustler. Exciting conflict, notwithstanding, the odds seem heavy on the man's side, with his props of dog, gun and trap. If the reader enjoys the kill rather than the quarry, he'll like these stories. I wouldn't give them house room.
