THE GOLDEN STALLION AND THE MYSTERIOUS FEUD

The golden stallion (...to the Rescue, etc.) rides again, with eighteen-year-old Charlie Carter, Pedro and Ellen at the Bar L ranch. This time it's some trouble with a poor-but-honest family whose sullen, defiant eldest, Matt, seems to have done some pretty mean things--setting a barbed wire trap that kills a mare, deliberately weakening a fence to entice Carter's cattle into the corn. Though Matt's surly he's not guilty--the two-faced miner Dugan is; Dugan had found rich silver on the Peters' land and was trying to get them to sell out cheap. Disconnected action, suspicion more than suspense--misfire-formula Western.
