ASCENT TO ZION

The author asks for more attention to worship, and favors an increase of liturgical forms. He believes that ritual and ceremony must be thought through, and appeals for speedy and drastic reformation in American Protestantism. He not only discusses the philosophy and history of worship in general but also that of architecture and music. He gives practical and useful suggestions regarding use of light, color, decoration, symbolism, music, as well as liturgy, and discusses religious education and its importance in preparing the young for public worship. For ministers, educators, students and all leaders connected with worship. the author is a Baptist minister.
