I approached this with a feeling that one glimpse of the Guitrys some years ago in Deburau, and an abysmal ignorance of the French stage, scarcely equipped me for appreciation of this of this autobiography of a famous French playwright and actor. I was quickly convinced that it mattered not a whit -- that the veriest ignoramus would thoroughly enjoy it for the essentially human and often amusing document it is. Sell it to any of your customers interested in any aspect of the stage and theater.
