KIRKUS REVIEW

The authors have succeeded in packing a great deal into this picture story book of the young inventor, and the story is told in a slightly expanded caption form. Although definitely a picture story book, I'd suggest its use with children of the next age group -- five to eight, perhaps -- since younger children would not be interested in the subject matter. Unfortunately, the authors slip, into jingle and inside rhymes too often to make it seem an accident, and yet not often enough to make it a deliberate form of writing.
