The author of Judy's Summer Adventure (1960, p. 290, J-144) and Sunny Jim, The Uppity Kitten (1962, p. 323, J-99), has written another uninvolved story in easy-to-understand language. Jenny's first day of spring vacation starts off with boredom, but ends in an exciting jeep ride through the woods. More lively than the standard Dick and Jane ""adventures"", it will appeal to beginning readers (good readers will be able to handle it alone; others may need some help). The pencil sketches, although not unusual, constitute a lively, pleasant addition.
