KIRKUS REVIEW

Once the hurdle has been taken and these books identified for an older age level than their picture book format would indicate, they form an exciting series of regional books, of interest from ten years on up. The DeWitt lithographs are stunning- colorful, imaginative, well reproduced. Clear, concise text in almost travelogue style, tells history of the region from Indian days to today, geography, inhabitants, activities, customs. Attractive both as merchandise and background material.
