KIRKUS REVIEW

A wild life sanctuary in Wisconsin provides the setting for this study in natural history at first hand, as three naturalists spend their holidays virtually running an orphanage for baby animals. Mischievous raccoons, a baby fasn, a groundhog, and --favorite of all -- a porcupine, Inky. The animals have lessons to teach as well as learn, and eventually they are given their freedom to come and go as they choose. Inky, of them all, has the home feeling, and comes back and back. A good personal experience story in the spirit of friendliness between man and beast.
