READY, WRESTLE!

After being a star half-back in high school and a stand-out on the freshman football team, Eddie Richards, formula fiction son of a formula fiction father, finds himself too light to even try out for the Rockhurst College varsity football team. His girl Dorothy, pious enough to object to his wearing loafers to church, drops him as soon as she discovers this. Dorothy's roommate Jean just happens to be a wrestling fan. Eddie makes the wrestling team, wins Jean, and helps Rockhurst win a tournament. No reader without a thorough technical knowledge of wrestling will appreciate the wrestling terms and no reader looking for a suspenseful plot will find it. Mr. Barnes has a half-nelson on the reader that can only lead to a fall -- unless he is lucky enough to break the grip and make an escape.
