SAM SNEAD ON GOLF

By

Publisher: Prentice-Hall

This is for the golfer who is ready- and willing- to apply and practise the recommendations of ""the greatest natural golfer in the history of the game"". For after general discussion of the game (""learn and forget"", ""relax"", etc.) this many times champion goes on to talk about grip, stance and swing, about clubs -- the woods, long and short irons, the wedge, about straight balls, hooks and fades, about putting, with always the emphasis on the right way and criticism and correction of the wrong way and with simple gimmicks to insure improvement. There is a section on the psychological side of golf in which blueprinting the rounds, planning shots, campaigning every hole and not letting bad shots get you down, are advocated. There are illustrations and action photos and a chart which lists faults, their causes and their cures. A useful workbook for the assiduous player.
