The good animal story is so rare as to be news! Here's a classic in the making, for boys, for men, for women who love animals, here's a first rate adventure story, pioneer steel-bringers, Indian lore, folk lore, animal lore and life all packed into a perfectly swell story of the great Northwest that has the tang of the woods, the thrill of conquest and two hours instructive fascinating diversion anytime you want to pick it up and read or send it. It should be brought to the attention of schools as it is ideal summer reading list material. Camps should have it in their libraries for thirty animals are covered and the love of animals taught through the great-hearted engineer whom boys would idolize. You know by now how I loved it, so will you and every reader.
