FIZZLES by Samuel Beckett

FIZZLES

By

Pub Date: Feb. 17th, 1977
Publisher: Grove

Eight prose pieces, each of them between two and ten pages long. The longest (""Fizzle l"") brings back a major Beckett character name (""Murphy had firstrate legs"") but the others contain few clues. Only three are fully titled--""Still,"" ""For to end yet again,"" and ""Afar a bird."" The others are just numbered ""Fizzles,"" and all but one were originally written in French (around 1960) and have been recently translated by the author.
