INTERNATIONAL FOLK PLAYS

A collection of nine plays written by students and former students of dramatic art at Chapel Hill. These plays were selected as representing many lands and races, and the folkways and fundamental hungers of these peoples. By ""folk plays"" the editor does not limit either scope or setting; the content ranges from realism to fantasy; the backgrounds may be rural or urban. There is humor, pathos, interest in the whole man. And each play has been tested by stage production. Useful for students, budding playwrights, and Little Theatre groups.
