THREE PATHS

Dr. Dresner has made a real contribution to the devotional life in this charming volume that would be welcome in any layman's library. His prose, always interesting, at times skirts the realm of poetry as he sketches how God enters the life of man in prayer and how the God-man relationship is then extended to other men in humility and in compassion. Many Christians will read the whole book with applause without realizing that here is a great voice among contemporary Jewish authors. Dr. Dresner has transcended any particular faith while yet remaining true to his own. Not enough has been written about the inner spiritual life recently, and this is as good a guide as you are apt to find.
