The dynamic rector of Calvary Episcopal Church has given us a book which is characteristic of the man and his ministry. Dr. Shoemaker states in his introduction ""This is not intended to be an abstract book about happiness, but a concrete book which will help people to find it"". This is a practical, down-to-earth book for people who know that they are not as happy as they should be, and crave desperately to achieve happiness. The several chapters of the book, such as ""Our Present Unhappiness"", ""Ways out-True and False"", ""The Greatest Source of Happiness"", ""Satisfying Human Relations"", ""The Overflow of Happiness"" were written out of the author's experience in ministering to individuals and reflect his keen and sympathetic knowledge of human nature and all its variants. While written out of a deep conviction concerning the necessity of an individual and personal religious experience, the book reflects no sectarian point of view and should be valuable to many unhappy people and to those who want to help them to be happy.
