CURL UP SMALL

(Report repeated in full from page 106 (J-34) which appeared when the book was scheduled for April publication.) Simple rhymes and repetition of phrases form the several separate sequences here. Mother fish describes the world to baby fish; mother bird defines the world for baby bird, etc. It's a quiet book and vaguely reminiscent of an old lullaby. The soft illustrations in color reflect the awesome atmosphere of the text; especially fine is the unusual bear sequence. By the author of Keep It Like a Secret.
