THIS IS SYLVIA

This bit of fluff has to do with a cat named Sylvia whose life story parodies the usual Big Name autobiography. In living her nine lives to the full, she finds that her mixed blood (her mother was a pure Persian but her father may have been a perfectly ordinary tabby -- with a dash of ginger) turns out to be an asset; she develops a ""natural aptitude for the drama""; she becomes a stage star; eventually Hollywood and romance add to her fame; she gets a title in marriage and the divorce rocks society -- but cream is flowing like water again as she pens these lines. All variations on feline terminology make their appearance here and the author's drawings smirk catfully through the book. A very special, humor market.
