There are thirty stories here, modern stories of everyday things, familiar classics, fairy tales, verse. The names suggest the standards set:- Thornton Burgess, the Jacksons, Lucy Sprague Mitchell, Elizabeth Orton Jones, Emma Brock, Ruskin, Lamb, etc. etc. Big Golden Book format.
