Tousey's name will sell this, but it is a disappointing book. Neither text nor pictures have any distinction. The Garst biography on Bobbs-Merrill's list, is a much better book. This follows the broad outlines of his life, but omits much that gives it glamor and interest, and yet the story is not sufficiently simplified to give it greater appeal for younger readers.
