A PONY FOR THE BOYS by Sanford Tousey

A PONY FOR THE BOYS

By

Publisher: Houghton, Mifflin

This explicit little fable is not quite of this century in subtlety, but might be used for second or third year reading, as it has large type and simple words. Peter was an energetic boy who went about projects of hen house building and chicken raising with tip-toe eagerness, but whining Oliver, the same age, retorted ""I can't"" to Peter's propositions for joint endeavors. Reward in the form of money and a pony comes to both boys when Peter the Active helps Oliver see the light.
