STEAMBOAT BILLY

The author of Cowboy Tommy has written a story for somewhat older children (seven and eight year olds -- or even nine and ten) in this account of Billy's adventures on a river steamer between Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. There's a good slice of information sandwiched into the story, and small boys who find river traffic and boats endlessly interesting will love it. Illustrations by the author -- four color jacket, two color end papers, four color illustrations on every other page, black and white illustrations on alternate pages.
