HOW TO RAISE A PUPPY by Sara Bonnett Stein

HOW TO RAISE A PUPPY

By

Pub Date: Oct. 25th, 1976
Publisher: Random House

This first of three 48-page handbooks (see below) offers some sensible advice on selecting a puppy (how to spot a happy one), bringing him home, feeding (dry chow is sufficient), bathing (only when needed), playing (and how not to), housebreaking, and cleaning up messes--""part of caring for a pet."" We could do without euphemisms like ""going to the bathroom"" and photos of puppies in hair ribbons or (as in the rodent book, below) of ""cute"" children far too young to read even this book or follow its advice. Marginal.
