KIRKUS REVIEW

In order to make a documentary film of the life of led dogs from puppyhood on to the training for the final team work, the author and her husband spent a most eventful winter in Unalkeet on the Bering Sea. How they survived a melange of problems involving water, wood, food, housing; the training of the animals; how they participated in the life of the Eskimos all comprise a lively account of a difficult project and a vivid close-up of sub-Arcti Alaska living.
