KIRKUS REVIEW

The story of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi retold for juniors. Some of the well loved legends are woven into the record,-- the wolf of Gubbio, the miracle of the leper and others. The founding of the two orders, the rules of poverty, the all -- embracing love for the poor and needy which characterized those early days of the Franciscans -- all have their place here. Not a story, however, confined to children of the Roman Catholic Church, but a story of two saintly human beings.
