Amnesia is such a mystery/romance/movie cliche that no one can believe it. When his old friend, Peter Hammond, turns up minus his memory marbles, only Antony Maitland, the detective/barrister of Trusted Like the Fox and Bloody Instructions, is willing to believe him. Certainly Scotland Yard's Narcotics Squad won't, Peter's fiancee wants to...The Windy Side is forgettable fun.
