YOUR PERSONALITY AND YOU

Sarah Splaver is a guidance counselor with many credentials (and earlier college and career directing books on this list) and this is more than a pep talk, once you get past the alluring thought that ""only you are just like you."" She defines personality as ""total behavior in its response to... total environment"" and then discusses what you think, feel, say and do, and why. Your relationships to your family, teachers, peers; your mind, emotional responses and defenses; your vocational future (the importance of education) and social presence (dating, with contra-indications against smoking, drinking, etc.); and also an early awareness of the fact that ""problems are what people have""-- all people.... There's no spoon feeding and the content is a sound compromise between commonsense and practical psychology.
