First published in the '30's, two of this trio pulp-itate. In Leinster's The Mole Pirate America's Public Enemy #1 steals All American Boy-Scientist's machine that can go anywhere, through anything. In Williamson's The Moon Era a young man makes the first trip to the moon for the usual assortment of monsters, mayhem and miseries. But Wyndham's Exiles on Asperus is definitely worth a revival combining adventure with a weird philosophical slant on the concept of freedom. It's an introductory study to what is known today as the subtle art of brainwashing. It deserves better company.
