SEVEN HEROES by Saul Braun

SEVEN HEROES

Perhaps no area of WWII was quite as difficult for American troops to fight in as the pacific, with its extremes of climate, the threat of death through tropical disease, and the total strangeness of the native habits and language. And, for some reason, it was harder to collect the information necessary for the awarding of honors. The seven men described here achieved the highest, the Medal of Honor, with courage that astonishes and all from the Pacific battle ares. Mr. Braun handles his material very well. The bookstores continue to report a sales ease with battle books for boys and this one has the energy of that fiction form with the added advantages of recent history and respect for truth.
