KIRKUS REVIEW

It's war to the knife- at an Arizona Army post, where unorthodox Col. Maddox and Lt. Glenn Dettrey face not only angry Apaches, but also an Indian Ring which has been feeding them guns in order to get rid of Maddox. For Dettrey, raised in this territory and commander of a band of Chiricahua Scouts, there's the added animosity of Keck- a West Point man, as well as the calculated risk of accepting a bribe from the Ring which can later be used against it to good effect... New and more flesh on these old bones of contention- this is stout stuff.
