MARRIED SAINTS by Selden Peabody Delany

MARRIED SAINTS

By

Pub Date: Sept. 18th, 1935
Publisher: Longmans, Green

This is a delightful book that shouldn't be restricted to the religious table. It has the charm of style and beauty of language so rarely found that would insure a market even though its subject were far less intriguing than ""Married Saints."" Each saint is vital, human and alive. Father Delany knows what is in ""man"" and has drawn his characters with insight and rare power. The book will sell as biography, as inspiration, as fascinating stories to the saints and to the sinners, because of itself and because it was the last book of one of the best known of the Anglican persuasian to go over to Rome. Will bear an imprimatur. Father Delany was at St. Mary the Virgin, New York City, for many years.
