SELF UNDERSTANDING THROUGH PSYCHOLOGY AND RELIGION

A self-help book written by a clergyman, this is designed to help those people whose lives seem to run in dark tunnels, reach an understanding of their own inner difficulties--to over come them--and to be able to orient themselves in a world of shifting values and focuses. The author, who has studied clinical pastoral training in mental hospitals, etc., writes in a clear and non-technical style of such mental-emotional blocks and barriers as dated emotions, emotional tensions, knotty conscience, the proper position of sex in society, etc. Reading of the book should help those in need, but a subsequent session with a psychiatrist will probably be needed in the thornier cases.
