With Kodak's new EK6 and EK4 models scheduled to go on sale at the end of this month it's hard to see any future for a book on instant photography that doesn't take a stand on the hot consumer issue of Kodak vs. Polaroid. In fact Jacobs limits himself chiefly to Polaroid cameras and film (though several Keystone models and Kalimar accessories are also listed). And between the sort of specifications one would expect to get free from the manufacturer and general remarks on composition, lighting and ""picture projects"" that apply equally well to any kind of photography, there's very little here that a Polaroid user couldn't pick up on his own. Certainly a marginal investment. . . and timed for instant obsolescence.
