TURTLE TALK: A Beginner's Book of Logo

An appealing fifth book in this beginning computer series. Key terms and commands are highlighted in red type and by the accompanying illustration. Terms such as ""Showturtle,"" ""Clearscreen,"" and ""Wrapping Around"" are clearly presented both in the text, with samples of how the command appears on a computer screen, and with the whimsical turtle character demonstrating. Simon indicates that the commands will work with any of the different computer Logo programs, even though what appears on the screen may be slightly different from the illustration in the book. He does not make it clear that some detective work may be necessary to integrate these instructions with those for a particular computer. Still, an excellent introduction to Logo for the young computer user and for computer phobics of all ages. Glossary.
