Frankly, I should have been inclined to pass this Johnnie Come Lately if I had not discovered -- in a recent round of bookshops near army camps -- that the book, in its week since publication, practically melts off the tables. Personally, the cartoons have seemed funnier when encountered -- in recent years -- individually, in various mediums, than they are when page follows page. However, the cumulative effect is assured -- part of the training this army of ours has experienced -- enhanced by the glamour of the uniform -- is along the line of S E X. Particularly, the amenities of the fine art of pickup.... These cartoons ran in some 3000 post papers, a build up from 1942 to now.
