KIRKUS REVIEW

How the potter's four sons, restive about following their father's trade, find separate paths befitting his teaching and, in the spin of the dreidels he gives them as a keepsake, lessons that bind them to each other and to their common Jewish heritage--a fable of some character, interesting in its separate episodes, but rather parochial in appeal and quite unappealingly and inappropriately packaged (i.e. a lengthy small-print text and allusive literary illustrations in the format of a picture book).
