The dullahan is a pagan disembodiment lingering long after Stonehenge and it brings disaster to all those in contact with Sheila who's a carrier thereof. Although she manages to escape from the Old Bailey in a dead girl's clothes, she's sent off ship haste to Australia where two political ex-convicts, father Paddy and son Colin, befriend and fall in love with her respectively. But has she destroyed them in the jungle, or was it the abos? Actually it's neither and it looks as if she will be rid of her dullahan for good. Mrs. Wagner used to write juveniles; this is Nancy Druidic stuff--the story's a little different, the writing's not.
