KIRKUS REVIEW

This gives an impression of a somewhat superficial, unbalanced defense of the present regime in Spain, in an effort to prove it more representative than the government it displaced. The author describes family life, state nurseries, state aid, the devoutness of General Franco, and seems motivated by fear of Russia on the one side, and determination to show how Spain is misunderstood on the other. Not very penetrating.
