PENSIONS OR PENURY?

The United States Senator from California puts forward an eloquent plea for the Townsend Plan in some revised form as a substitute for the present Social Security Act. His plea rests on the importance of assuring a future to old age, and increasing the flow of purchasing power for the aid of industry. Frankly, I don't think he would convince anyone who was not already inclined towards his type of pension.
