KIRKUS REVIEW

If you make it to page 176, you'll find this: ""You understand your Starter Diet and your Controlled Cheats, you've been working on your Eating Record for about a month. . . .You've completed your training for the hourly check-off system, and you are about to go on to a series of Extra Help Techniques. . . ."" Sure works up an appetite! There's nothing terribly wrong with Miss Simon's mildly behavioral approach to eating problems, but with all the titled steps to learn, the record-keeping and Things-To-Do (the idea is to eradicate all those little habitual blocks to sensible eating programs) it doesn't leave one much time to forget food -- let alone bathe. But for masochistic hard-core feeders it may work.
