THE FIVE GOLD SOVEREIGNS

This should have a wide general appeal; it is good from the historical background, young Tom Jefferson is portrayed as a friend of the Farnaworth family, and the whole period comes to life in the story of pre-revolutionary days in Virginia. Anne Farneworth was an irresponsible little girl when she went with her father to Williamsburg and came home with a frightened little slave, Yasu, who played an important part in helping her grow up to her responsibilities. An interesting and alive story.
