JOHN DEWEY: America's Philospher

This is not, as might be expected, a biographical study of John Dewey, but is a thoughtful and clear analysis of Dewey's philosophical growth, of the elements that comprise his mature contribution to philosophical thought. The author takes into consideration the stumbling blocks to the average student, and meets him more than half way. His terminology presupposes some philosophical training and background, so it is not a tabloid dose for budding philosophers, but rather a step up for those who have a good deal of background and want aid in approaching Dewey's works.
