FREEDOM FOREST

Admittedly slight and sketchy and lacking the sustained emotional appeal of Born Free, these true-life adventures with a Sudanese pet lion still have much the same genuine charm as its famous predecessor and should certainly captivate all animal lovers whether they be youngsters or adults. Wild-life photographer Berggren's relationship with Simba began by chance in the jungle when he found the cub motherless and decided to ""adopt"" it. The subsequent journey through Africa and Europe and the slow growth of the cub are touchingly revealed.
