SAHARA ROAD

No ""gynophobic"" he -- thus agent Dorian Silk's involvements with three women; Russian Irena, a sultry Arabic contact, and poor American Grace with a violent family history. They seem to occupy him more than the desert pursuit of two British agents and the Russo-Communist secrets they were trying to obtain. Silk uses an archaeological expedition as a cover and there's some well-bred botany too. Stiff-kneed but the final action pops like a hot tar blister.
