KIRKUS REVIEW

Another (circa 15) of Simon Harvester's odyssey-ordeals shrouded in the Sino-Russian wasteland. An Englishman wakes up in a Peking hospital with no memory, a name which is not his, and a record as a ""dangerous lunatic."" Escaping, he travels on and on, meeting mixed nationals, given aid here, threatened with execution there, and finally healed in the hands of a lovely Chinese doctor..... Part mirage, part montage, this relies on its incisive, insistent atmospheric effects rather than the vagrant narrative itself.
