JAPAN IN AMERICAN PUBLIC OPINION

Pub Date: Oct. 26th, 1937

A timely and informative book for people interested in tracing the relations with Japan through the past 75 years, but not a book touching upon the present crisis. The authors, basing their information on newspapers, journals, papers, data of business organizations, university circles, the church and political documents, trace the changes in opinion towards Japan, from the early enthusiasm, to the present agitation against Japanese labor in California, Japanese competition in industry and manufacturing circles, and the fear of Japan as a world power in the Far East. Not a book for a wide market, but a book for thoughtful readers interested in the Japanese problem.
