For many of you William Collings, Ltd. has probably meant Bibles with excellent clear type. It had to me, until their London office, subscribers to this service, saw the August Sporting Book bulletin and sent word they had a little competition. Modest Englishmen! ""Snaffles"" says The Field, which to my mind has the best Sporting reviews in the world, ""is one of the few really first class horse artists."" This is a book of great variety, humor and bits from famous writers, illustrated to the Queen's Taste. The first sketches are Hunting, then a priceless group of ""Obstacles"" with the feel and ring of Ireland and the West Country, then, off to India and Hog-Hunting so graphically drawn. Pig sticking gets in the blood and just as you are ready to kill you are whisked back to Pot Hunting and Show Jumping. The captions are written in such a way that all terms are explained to those unfamiliar with them and the market is thereby doubled -- for you can sell the book to all lovers of good fun, good drawing, good books as well as the lovers of good 'Osses, good Obstacles and good Sport.
